weird dog story & mission

weird dog origin story = very fun.

first off,  weird dog is made by a team of weird dogs. we are not normal, we have neurodivergencies and physical anomolies and are also parents of people with the same special things. 

we were seeing meme coins kinda making fun of differences and couldn’t tell if they were from people with special powers or not- so we wanted to make something that embraced these differences by people with differences. but everyone has differences and that’s the point.

so on 11/20/24 we were looking to launch a meme coin and thus looking at cute viral videos. @weirdzoe shared this link of martha the dwarf mini pony to our little whatsapp group.

@weirdgeoff lol’d at a comment made by Omar who said, “what a weird dog.” then we invented weird dog meme coin.



we started working on some stories, but as luck would have it, truth is much better than fiction. after doing some sleuthing on Omar we found out he too is one special guy. Omar is quadripligic, from iraq, and now lives in vancouver. you can read about his story here.



It is now our mission to drop everything and help Omar out, make him meme coin rich, and, if he wants, get him on the VIP list for Neuralink. Neuralink just opened up clinical trials in Canada so seems like timing is right.

We are also donating tokens to weird dog’s home, the mini pony sanctuary @ R&R rescue ranch. their instagram is pretty great.

weird dog’s charitable giving site can be found at weirddog.org we would like to use profits generated by $wdog to issue grants to people with disabilities. people getting BCI implants or other treatments. just to help them out while they’re focused on their brave journeys.

$WDOG tokenomics and stuff

weird dog is a fair launch token on solana. the team received no allocations, so the only way to own the token is to buy it.
we haven’t developed any weird defi or tokenomics stuff just yet so all we have now is a fixed supply. we want to keep everything weird dog as simple and easy as possible. no stress on our collective nervous systems, this should be light and fun. any ideas are welcome so chat us up in discord or @ us on X. weird dog principles

so we are essentially building a company and organization in public and as such we think it will be helpful to have  a touchstone regarding how weirddog the brand and movement makes decisions. so when you are faced with a decision about what to do, how to best contribute, you can reference these few principles to make the next right move.

1.  first thought is usually the best thought- do that

2. what ever is easy, do that. have fun on the path of least resistance

3.  lead with love + kindness, and a demand for collaboration, even if it seems contradictory to success.
